HISTORY

Main Street Florist was purchased in the summer of 1990. We started in a small building on the Carlinville Square and quickly outgrew the building. In 1992 we purchased our current location, completely remodeling the inside into an upscale floral and gift shop. We pride ourselves on carrying unusual types of gifts and trendy home décor items. Our fresh flower business is second to none in quality of flowers and design. Our very talented designers work very hard to stay on top of the most current trends in color and design.

In 2000 we expanded our business to include Main Street Bridal. After planning my daughter’s wedding and helping in all aspects of it, I found that I enjoyed working with bridal, too. So in May 2000, Main Street Bridal opened and was located in the second story of our flower shop. In 2006 we had the opportunity to rent a larger building just a few doors down for our bridal shop. After a lot of work, the building was ready to move into in November 2006. In addition to having much needed space, we are much more visible to traffic going around the square.
